Sound financial control
Minimise delays and disruptions
Off-site manufacturing, modular design approach and smart tech tools such as PointCloud allow us to engineer solutions while production continues. Our own hygienic steel fabrication capability gives us tight control over manufacturing timelines.
Production continuity
Get the optimal solution
Cortek is an independent, New Zealand owned company with a high level of transparency and accountability. While we work with the same services and equipment providers as others in our industry, we are free to pick those that best serve our clients' needs.
If there’s a better way, we’ll find it.

Latest technology milk separation plant and cleaning system
We’ve worked with industry leaders such as Fonterra, Synlait, Westland Milk Products, Oceania, Goodman Fielder, Open Country Dairies and Mataura Valley Milk. Our projects include:
New milk separation plant
Engineering design and install of a 70 cubic metres per hour separation plant and associated services, including new milk separators, heat exchangers, skim and cream storage silos, plus a new re-use CIP kitchen.
Rail pod loading and CIP
Upgrade of the rail transportation system to accommodate the new pod/wagon configuration and improve the CIP system. Extensive design and modelling optimised the rail siding configuration at both the supply and receiving sites. Construction to house the new system. The site remained operational during the project.
New ammonia plant and HTHP
New ammonia plant and 1 MW high-temperature heat pump system in new plant room building. Primary and secondary glycol and hot water tanks integrated with existing plant, and upgrades to site distribution for glycol, chilled and hot water.
Chemical handling upgrade
Three new bulk chemical tanks and a chemical tanker unload bay located within a new hazardous storage area on the client site. Designed to minimise manual handing operations associated with current IBC use.
New 1.1 MW chiller plant
A key services infrastructure project to ensure sufficient chilled water capacity. It included supply and installation of a 1100kW ammonia chiller system and cooling tower, along with construction of a building to house the new system. The site remained operational during the project.
Milk station upgrade
Service load demand analysis, design and install of all new services required for a new UHT plant, including a 10 bar steam network, glycol network distribution and increased cooling water capacity, increased water storage and distribution lines, air supply, and new chemical storage and delivery systems.
